A nightmare night last night. Lu woke Amélie around 8:30pm, although my opinion was we shouldn't wake her. She had some dinner and a bath, and must have gone back to bed around 10pm. She woke around 4:30am, and it took 41 (41!) pick-up-and-put-downs to get her back to sleep. I hadn't gone to bed until around midnight, and was a zombie when trying to get her back to sleep. The pick-up-put-down system still seems to work, albeit it took a while this time.

I'm not sure what time I woke up this morning, but Lu went out to get some shopping and Amélie stayed with me. Lu then left for work around 1:15pm. Amélie was semi-bonkers for most of the afternoon; she was full of life, and couldn't seem to focus on anything. She was somewhat clingy, but that was cute. Mum arrived around 3pm. The plan was to go for a walk, as unfortunately steveeeee had to cancel, but 5 minutes before she arrived Amélie fell asleep in my arms. She woke up again around 4:30pm, and then Mum left around 5pm.

I made dinner, and Amélie was still clingy and curious, so I held her on my side while I made it and she watched. Lu got home just after 6pm. And following that it's been a relaxing evening, with Lu giving Amélie a bath, and the latter now in bed. I suspect it will be early nights for us.

(LJ entries of late seem to involve a lot of marking of time!)

Edit: I ordered a (cheap and hopefully cheerful) media player yesterday (the Western Digital TV Live). A friend and I on Twitter were talking about it, and I was also discussing with steveeeee. My Twitter friend ordered the same one, so it will be interesting to see how it performs. I'm using the 360 (and sometimes the PS3) mostly just for streaming, and for that it's slow (startup and navigation) and limited (poor file support and can't cope with subtitle files). I'm hoping the new purchase will do a better job. I've been thinking about getting one for months, but not really investigated what's out there.
