A 10.5 hour sleep from Amélie last night. Woohoo!

It was off to the Jobcentre to sign on today, followed by a visit to Sainsbury's to buy some essentials.

It turns out, from a discussion at the Jobcentre that I will get income based Jobseeker's Allowance for 182 days - I haven't checked my bank account for a month or so, so had no idea whether they were paying it or not. At the 183 day point I can claim means tested Jobseeker's Allowance, but if we have more than £12k of saving I will get nothing. Then the amount I get will scale proportionately to savings down to £5k. We can't survive on it in any event, long term, so it's not of any substantive use. I need a job, but that much is a given.

Mum was babysitting this afternoon, as she normally does on Mondays. She headed off around 4pm with Amélie for a walk.

steveeeee arrived just after 4pm and we went for a walk around Yateley Heath Wood (at least I discovered the name once I checked the OS map).

When I got home Mum was back from her walk, and Amélie was asleep in her pram. She left, and Amélie slept until around 6pm.

Once Amélie woke up I cooked creamy chicken risotto for dinner, and ate far too much of it.

And the walk seems to have left me absolutely cream crackered, I'm really tired!

Back to the frickin' Jobcentre tomorrow morning, as I have to attend a "Getting Back to Work" lecture, where chances are I will learn nothing about getting back to work.

yeah, because being patronised helps eh?

They should make it optional. If people *really* cannot figure out the basics then give them the option. For those who do know what they're doing, stop wasting their time!
