I wouldn't miss my father if I never spoke to him again. I would and do miss my mum if I don't speak to her, but I don't need to see her all that often. I'd like to see her more often than every 6 months but wouldn't be heartbroken if that's all I managed.

I'm not sure how you're defining "home". S'long as I've got a well-stocked kitchen and some books, I'm pretty comfortable being plonked down anywhere.

I was thinking something similar - what I'd miss most is my computer and an Internet connection.

If I could take my computer with me and have access to the Internet, I'd probably be fine elsewhere for quite some time.

Parents: My father is nervous about my mental health issues and hasn't seen me for nearly a decade as a result of that. (Sucks!!) I've been stable enough to be around families for the last 3 years.

Home: I wouldn't want to move away from London, never mind move outside the country.

I love my family dearly and miss them all the time, until I see them. Then I remember why I live XX miles away and rarely see them! I love them, but they drive me insane... The space has infact strengthened our relationship because we're NOT seeing each other every week.

I said I'd comment on the first one, 'cos I miss my mother but I can go a couple of months or more without seeing her but we talk two or three times a week. If there was no contact at all I'd miss her much quicker
