Random thought: Was it just me (or my poor memory) or did Jet Set Radio (the original version, *not* Jet Set Radio Future) have an excellent soundtrack. I must remember to try and find some tracks.

I'm also thinking I should limit my computer time (principally my surfing time) somehow. In a "Why Don't You?" kinda way, I need to stop whiling hours away at the PC (I'm not saying I'm *going* to do it, but I'm definitely thinking about thinking about it).

limited computer time

Sometimes I think the same thing. . .but then find that another 3 hours have passed and I'm STILL HERE!

Just try not to limit your LJ time!

:-) LJ is one of the few productive things I do with the PC (although I probably write too much and too often), but I get tied up looking at all sorts of stuff when I should really be doing something else more constructive.

Jet Set Radio does indeed have an incredible soundtrack. I wish I could remember where it was, but I know that Guitar Vader had a site with some mp3s-- they had a couple of songs on the soundtrack, and they were great. Very Japanese.

There's a page here with a track listing, but it doesn't have artist names. So it's not too helpful. Curses.

Interesting, I didn't think to check Amazon.com, but equally I can't afford to buy anything atm. I checked CDDB.com and they list a couple of Jet Set Radio albums. Plus I found a weird 140Mb AVI file where someone has taken all the tracks and mixed them together, including the kooky intro, with some anime. I'm just watching it now, and it's bringing back some great memories :-)

Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, and Samba De Amigo are the only reasons I still have my old Dreamcast console. I'm thinking of selling it, but I'm keeping my Samba setup (I have the game and two sets of maracas) so that one day when I'm rich I'll be able to play it again. *grin*

I think JSR soundtracks pop up on Ebay fairly regularly, too, so you might want to check there unless you found all the songs and downloaded them already!

'In a "Why Don't You?" kinda way...'

Is that a reference to that wonderful tv programme from my youth?

Sings: "Sitting at home, watching TV, turn it off it's no good to me. . .Why don't you. Why don't you. Why don't you just switch off your television set and do something less boring instead. . ." Classic kids TV!

Yep, it was a reference to that :-) My memory says they mostly cooked weird things or used a lot of crepe paper.

cool! I wouldn't have survived the school holidays without that programme. . .and with only a couple of hours of kids tv on during the day, it was easy to turn off the TV afterwards - unless of course you enjoyed watching 'house party' or 'crown court'. . .

Can you see what effect thinking about classic tv had on my LJ - in a very 'late night ramble' kind of way?!!!
