Another quiet day, but it's going to be mostly quiet days until we fly back now.

I'm feeling a bit out of sorts (discombobulated seems to sum it up nicely) and often at a loose end, but I'm regularly pulling myself up by my bootstraps and telling myself I've actually got plenty to keep myself occupied (and that's aside from Amélie). I had a hunt through all my Steam games and ended up playing Bastion, but didn't enjoy it from the get go so switched to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The laptop proved its worth as it plays it flawlessly in 1080p, aside from the fact I needed a mouse.

We got out twice today at least. Lu wanted to go to the shops, and I wanted to buy a mouse. Plus we also went to the supermarket as I'm going to cook the ole classic Creamy Chicken Risotto tomorrow, or as close to it as I can get with the ingredients I can find here. I was amazed to get a perfectly competent little mouse for around £7. It has been a bit cooler here, but I felt like I was in a grill pan when we went to the shops just after midday. I need to get out in the sun a bit more to gently top my tan up - at least a couple of half hour spells per day should do it.

Lu's parents are going back to Sao Paulo city today, so the debate is whether we'll stay here for New Year's Eve or go back also. Lu's aunt Cida has already said she won't go to Sao Paulo, but the PILs might come back here.
