Film Review: Premium Rush (2012)
Premium Rush (2012). Co-written and directed by David Koepp. The film starts with bicycle courier Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) flying through the air after being hit by a car. He falls to the ground, and we then jump into flashback about 90 minutes earlier, where he's hurtling around the NYC streets. Premium Rush is a sort of action film, well about as action based as you can get in the world of bicycle couriers, the Chinese mob, and corrupt police. There's some great camera work, and it pootles along at a reasonable pace without taxing the brain too much (there's a fairly glaring plot hole at one point). It will probably make keen cyclists roll their eyes at several points. Those in the mood for some no brain mild action should enjoy. 4/5 (Good)
