Film Review: Deadfall (2012)
Deadfall (2012). Directed by Stefan Ruzowitky. The film opens with brother, Addison (Eric Bana), and sister, Liza (Olivia Wilde), on the run with a third gang member following a robbery. It's Winter, and their car comes off the road, killing the driver, but Addison and Liza survive. A policeman stops to help, but Addison shoots and kills him. With blizzard conditions, he tells Liza they have to split up to increase their chances of making it across the border. For me Deadfall was a by-the-numbers action drama, with a fairly predictable story and somewhat two dimensional characters. It moves along well enough, with OK performances from all involved. It's somewhat violent and bloody, so sensitive types will want to avoid. 3/5 (Average)
