Film Review: The Bay (2012)
The Bay (2012). Co-written and directed by Barry Levinson. The film starts with found footage presented by a journalist. The footage relates to the progressing story of various people in a seaside town on the Chesapeake Bay. The bay appears to be polluted, but to begin with it isn't clear what is happening. I was almost put off The Bay because of the "found footage" idea - I'm sick of films with found footage. I should have followed my instincts as the film turned out to be a derivative horror with little story, much in the mould of Slither and those that came before it. For horror fans that don't mind found footage films, and don't have high standards. 2/5 (Poor)
