Film Review: The Last Stand (2013)
The Last Stand (2013). Directed by Kim Ji-woon. The film is mostly set in Sommerton, Arizona, a small town on the border with Mexico. The local sheriff (Arnold Schwarenegger) is having a day off, but discovers his deputies are at a local firearms "museum" messing around with the owner. Meanwhile in LA, the FBI are transferring a dangerous drug lord. For me The Last Stand was fairly average silly action fare. Arnold shows some character as the local sheriff, albeit the other performances are all fairly derivative. The story is predictable and not particularly imaginative. In short, if you're in the mood for predictable action fare then you may well enjoy this. A charitable 3/5 (Average)
