Film Review: Warm Bodies (2013)

Warm Bodies (2013). Directed by Jonathan Levine and based on the novel by Isaac Marion. The film starts after a zombie apocalypse has happened. It focusses on a particular zombie known as R (Nicholas Hoult) who can't remember the rest of his name. R spends his days wandering around an airport, but he seems to be different from other zombies and likes to collect things. Warm Bodies is all a bit daft but it has some charm. The story is slowly paced, but there was enough there to keep me going. Hoult does a great job as the main character in the film, and pretty much carries it. There are some notably great music choices at various points in the film. For anyone who feels they might enjoy a quirky zombie romance. 3/5 (Average)
