Podcasts bring DIY radio to the web. So I followed the links here to the supposed excellent "Daily Source Code"podcast (bleugh). I downloaded today's entry and tried to listen to it for as long as I could. I know this is DIY radio, but this was just trash. For starters the guy seemed to be talking to his wife for the first few minutes on and off saying "I'm making a podcast!". Then he started saying how terrible this tsunami is in Asia, in this completely disaffected tone (whilst still shouting at his wife). If this is the best podcasting has to offer I think I'll give it a skip, I would rather listen to commercial radio (and listening to commercial radio is below "watching apple cores go brown" on my list of things to do).
