Buerk attacks women broadcasters. Michael Buerk says that too many of the top jobs in UK broadcasting are now held by women, and that the emancipation has gone too far. Errr, but wasn't it the reverse situation for many years before?...

Confessions of a sun-seeker. An article from a 21 year old who says she just loves "sitting in the sun".

Space record broken by Russian. Sergei Krikalev has broken the record for the most cumulative time in space - clocking up 748 days in orbit today.

Head-to-head: Da Vinci Code filming. The Dean on Lincoln vs. Sister Mary Michael on whether the Da Vinci Code should be allowed to use the various religious locations for filming. Sister Mary Michael has protested at the decision by Lincoln Cathedral to allow filming there by praying outside the building for 12 hours. Personally, I also have to say I'm not surprised by this. If you are going to claim to be from a particular religious sect it would make sense to follow everything about that particular religion, rather than just extracting the convenient pieces.
