OK, so I'm back in England on hols.

Had a slight nightmare trip back as I hadn't left a lot of time to check-in and the train broke down! Unbelievable. Luckily they managed to get it running again after 20 minutes, but I was kinda in a "C'est La Vie" mood so it didn't phase me too much.

Didn't think EasyJet were all that wonderful. Guess I'm lucky that I have flown Swiss Air before mostly.

Anyway, I met Mi Linda Saturday night. She must have had a hellish time getting to here from Derby as it took 6 hours. She got lost on the underground. It was great to finally meet her.

Sunday my sister came over, and the twins have started to talk a lot more. I am now "Uncle uncle!" when they need something. And "Uncle Mark Uncle Mark!" when they really need something. Joshua was extremely sweet, and told me (without prompting I hasten to add, LOL) that both him and Sam loved me very much. Not sure where that came from.

Monday I took Mi Linda on a whistle stop tour of London. Unfortunately the trains were fucked so it took us 3 hours to get there, and we didn't get into London until 2 or 3 pm. We did a quick walk around Carnaby, Oxford and Regent street. Mi Linda bought some shoes in Carnaby street, and clothes in Gap (Oxford street I think). She seemed extremely quiet, and I was surprised. I wasn't expecting her to be shy or quiet.

Following this we tried to find the Odeon at Covent Garden, which was where I thought Donnie Darko was being shown. Apparently there is no Odeon at Covent Garden, LOL. So we walked to Leicester Square and found the UGC (?) at Trocadero. We booked tickets, then grabbed a coffee at the Virgin Megastore. Unbelievably I saw nothing I wanted to buy. Then we watched Donnie Darko. It was great, although the sound was a bit shite. Presumably not THX! And the picture was also too dark. It was quite weird seeing it on the big screen. I noticed several things I hadn't seen before.

Then we went and had a meal in Chinatown. I'm not sure if it was the food or the wine, but Mi Linda was a lot more chatty. It was great. Then we went home, back about 10pm I think.

Yesterday Mi Linda woke late and she seemed to want to stay here and watch movies, so we did. Again she was very quiet and shy, which I just take as her not wanting to be here. She assured me later on that she was just a shy person, and then discussed that she was a bit perturbed by things with the guy she liked here. Again, she seemed to be a lot more chatty after that. All I'm after is some good company, and a friend to spend some time with while I'm here.

Now it's Wednesday morning, and hopefully Mi Linda will want to go to London again today, although the weather looks a bit shit.

I really like Mi Linda, but not sure what she thinks of me. I sympathise with her shyness, as I can be shy also. She has seen so many films, and I have huge respect for that. It's a shame she's not staying a bit longer, but it's hard getting to know someone intensively.
