I was going to start a post saying how much I can't stand people who complain, but thought better of it based on the immediate and general hypocrisy of it.

I guess it's more the case that I find people frustrating who moan about such trivial things, even more so when it's repeated. If you're going to moan about something, especially repeatedly, moan about something worthwhile, please!

But then who am I to say what's worthwhile to someone else? Damn. Trapped in my own tedious open-minded logic ;-)

Edit: In other news, they say pride is a sin, but I think that's a touch unfair. Of course it depends on your interpretation of it, and the general sin-like version seems to be more an excess of pride. I see nothing wrong with being proud of yourself in the sense of being pleased. Heck, if you can't do that you might as well go live under a stone.

Anyway, on that topic of pride (and not in excess), I was very proud to receive an email yesterday from a journalism student in Ohio, USA. She's in her final year, and reading the web site I write for. She said that she really liked my articles, and wants to get involved in foreign journalism, and was asking *me* for advice! So after I LOLled, I felt quite... well, proud.
